The 2012 SPRINGCON is this weekend!

Hey comics fans!

This weekend is the 24th Annual MCBA SPRINGCON! Held in the Grandstand at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. The show runs Sat-Sun, 10am-5pm both days. Follow this link for more info.

I'll be in attendance both days, as well as participating in a panel on Saturday--

Saturday May 19

12PM to 1PM: BUY LOCAL - Meet local up and coming comic book superstars Mitch Gerads (The Activity,  Dr. Who, Planet of the Apes),  Erik Burnham (Ghostbusters),  Jim Clark & CJ Renner (Colliders).  A candid discussion about getting started and building success in the zany world of comic books one panel at a time!  INSPIRING!

• At my table I will be selling copies of The ACTIVITY from IMAGE Comics, The CON SEASON EXCLUSIVE Variant of The ACTIVITY #4 (Only 200 printed), A few Planet of the Apes issues, Original art (from The ACTIVITY, Doctor WHO, and more), and I will be doing sketches/commissions...

                              Head shot/Bust.....$25

                              Full body............$60

• Sketch prices are based on a single character. All sketches done on 9x12 Bristol or 9x12 chip board in pencil and ink. Done on a First come First-Serve basis.
• I can now accept all major credit cards!
• I will also have a very limited number of the awesome new The ACTIVITY T-shirts. When I say limited I mean I will have 1 Medium and 1 Large of the Helicopter design and that's it. American Apparel!

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY Appearance!

      It might be my favorite "holiday" of the year. This Saturday, May 5th is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! A day where everyone is welcome at their local neighborhood comic store to nab some free comics from tons of different publishers.  My favorite part of the day is there's PLENTY of free comics geared towards the whole family. So pack up the kids, the husband, or the wife and head out to the local comic shop!

I personally will be signing books at the all new Comic College in Minneapolis, MN! (12pm-4pm)

All New, you say? Where  did it move to, you ask? About 15 feet away from the old one!

Come get some free comics, buy some others, check out the HUGE all new store, AND come see me!

I'll be signing books, selling original art pages, The Con Exclusive variant to The ACTIVITY #4, and doing head/bust sketch commissions for a discounted $25 on 9x12 Bristol (I also have a number of Marvel sketch covers available if that's your thing). **I'll also be doing quick FREE little sketch cards for kids (while supplies last) in honor of FCBD!**

 The 2012 CHICAGO COMIC & ENTERTAINMENT EXPO / C2E2 is upon us! I'll be there sharing a table all weekend with Mr. Brent Schoonover (Mr. Murder Is Dead, Horrorwood, Astronaut Dad) at Table M-19. C2E2's guest listing is set up kind of strange, so since Brent and I are sharing a table, I am listed after him on the alphabetical list. So if you can't find me in the M's, it's because I'm in the B's for Brent. :D

Emerald City Comicon 2012 This Weekend!

It's arrived, folks! The 2012 Emerald City Comicon! Just wanted to give you a quick update on where and when I will be at the show in the only way I know how...bullet points! Can't wait to talk and meet with all of you in lovely downtown Seattle!

• I will be at Table F-17 with Evan "Doc" Shaner (Jim Henson's Storyteller, Dark Horse Presents, Captain Marvel obsession meetings). See the above map if you need more specifics on how to track us down. 
• I do have some scheduled signings at both the Image Comics booth and also the BOOM! Studios booth.

My con season begins THIS Saturday, March 24th, where I'll be a "SPECIAL GUEST" at the brand spankin' new pop culture and collectibles show, SOUND+VISION.


I'll be signing and selling books, doing commissioned sketches, and selling original art from The ACTIVITY #1-4, Johnny Recon, Doctor WHO and more.

Emerald City Comic-Con 2012 EXCLUSIVES

As you can tell by my new handy-dandy Appearances area to your right, I will be in Seattle for the 2012 Emerald City Comic Con.

This is going to be a HUUUUUUGE show for me. Not only will it be my first big show with Doctor WHO, a complete run on Stan Lee's STARBORN, various other covers, and The ACTIVITY, but I will have three, yes THREE!, show exclusive items.

1. The BOOM! Studios 2012 ECCC variant of Planet of the Apes #9
2. The IMAGE Comics 2012 Night Vision Convention variant of The ACTIVITY #4
3. A feature in the 2012 Monsters and Dames Emerald City Charity Hardcover.
